Job Description:
We are looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer for the Open Source Technology Center OTC in Intel's Software and Services Group. This teamdrives customer adoption of Open Source Technologies in various market segments and your primary focus will be on Cloud Computing. Individuals act as technical experts, consultants, analysts, and program managers representing the customers technical needs, developing and presenting technical product training materialsand demos.
The scope of the team's activities include design-win and design-intechnical engagements with our customers and partners, technical collateral,field/customer training, product/customer demos and industry events. Since this requires working with internal and external customers from different geographies, candidates with diverse backgrounds would bring unique insights tothe job role.This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for both learning and teaching, excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem solving skills, to develop and apply technical knowledge.
If you are someone who likes to understand customer product architecture requirements and get your hands on code, if you like to work closely with new technologies,open-source software, the Linux OS and are someone who loves to engage with customers to develop creative solutions for their problems and increase customer adoption of embedded, cloud and data center solutions, this is your job.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Drive Customer engagements: define the Solutions Architecture,Customer PoCs, support
Design-Win and Design-In activities
- Comprehend customer/partner requirements and drive these back to Product Planning- Develop and deliver meaningful technology demonstrations
- Develop and enhance customer collateral: release notes, technotes, white papers, documentation, ...
- Develop and deliver trainings, hands-on lab to internal and external customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science
degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems Management or equivalent with four or more years of directly related experience.
- Strong technical
background in Linux based Open Source Operating Systems ingeneral.
- Experience with
virtualization solutions Xen, KVM, Jailhouse, etc..., container technologies and orchestration- Experience with Cloud and Data center technologies AWS, Google Cloud Services, ..., OpenStack, etc. an advantage- Broad software engineering experience including development, deployment,customization, validation and support
- Proven communication and
presentation skills in a multi-cultural environment
- Demonstrated technical
writing skills, release notes, technical notes, white papers, etc.
- Creating and delivering
product demonstrations: comprehend the big picture and derivemeaningful demo
scenarios
- Strong problem solving
skills and ability to apply critical thinking
- Ability to work
independently and proactively, multitask effectively and exhibitstrong influencing and leadership- Strong Customer and Results orientation skills, focus on the end goal
