Alibaba Cloud & Group Research Intern Positions
Job Description
Alibaba is looking for exceptional graduate students to join us as research interns to solve many challenging problems in the real world. You will be paired up with a mentor in a particular team and work on some specific topics among a wide range of interesting fields. You are expected to produce results and findings at the end of the internship, and present them to the Alibaba Research & Engineering community, or even contribute to the academic community if applicable.
Research Areas (experience in 2+ areas expected)
1. Optimization and machine intelligence algorithms for Cloud computing and Edge computing infrastructure
2. Job/Code performance optimization for distributed Cloud infrastructure
3. Optimization for large-scale Cloud service monitoring and profiling infrastructure
4. Operational research problems in various Cloud infrastructure operation scenarios
5. Large-scale distributed system design
6. Large-scale automation system design
7. Cloud infrastructure resource management and scheduling
8. New computer architecture and hardware components research for Cloud infrastructure operation
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science or related STEM field
- Experienced with one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, or Go.
- Relevant research experience, including industry experience or as a graduate student researcher in a lab
- Having strong passion for technical research, with demonstrated ability to explore new fields, generate new ideas and innovate new solutions
- Excellent analytical, learning, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated publication record, with one or more publications at international conferences
- At least 3 months of full-time internship participation
