The Band's Visit
An unexpected visit, people who have never met before, exotic Egyptian music, and sorrowful memories. All these are mixed and become a poem. A poem that was written for everyone who wants to take a quick glimpse of what's behind the music.
Compared with other musicals, this one has a special slow narrative rhythm. The audience doesn't need to worry about losing their patience. Instead, they will be immersed in that kind of atmosphere gradually and unconsciously. Any more words and actions will be an interruption. When the final song Answer Me reverberates around the stage, it seems like love and hope are just right there. It seems like you could suddenly judge the world in a much more soft way.
"If I try, maybe I can see your shadow
In the sodium light that masquerades as moon
If I try, I might take off like a sparrow
And I'll travel around the guiding breeze......"
